Meet our ‘Mini Me’!

It was just before Christmas when Gavin Hadley dropped into our Showroom, he wasn’t your average sales rep, there was no ‘hard sell’. His genuine passion and enthusiasm for his product was contagious and I was keen to see more.

Gavin runs Metal Art & Fabrications, specialising in a simply amazing range of bespoke log burners, character log burners and BBQ’s. His attention to detail is second to none and I was blown away by a replica of a ‘Splitty’ which he had just completed.

For those of you who have visited our showroom you will have seen my ‘pride of joy’ 1976 Bay Window. Gavin was confident he could exactly replicate it and I decided, on the spot, that a ‘mini me’ BBQ would be the perfect accessory. Here was a great little project to brighten up the winter months.

The detail is incredible with him being able to replicate colour schemes, ride height, wheels, pop-tops and a whole host of accessories including stainless detailing for chromed items like bumpers, headlights, badge and body trim. The process was similar to that of the Bay restoration with a constant update on progress and pictures along the way. This is one dedicated guy with a totally fabulous product.

With so much build-up Gavin was under pressure to live up to expectations and deliver the ‘wow’ factor… and he certainly did that! We absolutely love our beposke BBQ, which now resides alongside our bay in the showroom.
