Introducing the Kampa Cross Air TG!!

The Kampa Cross AIR TG Drive-Away Awning is a Tailgate Awning based on the design of the popular Cross AIR awning but with an adapted tunnel designed to fit on the rear of a VW.

This awning has a large living area with two inflation points and a crossed airframe design which provides spacious head height and maximises space. The front door of the awning has a poled porch canopy for additional shelter with a clip-in waterproof groundsheet which can be removed depending on pitch type or preference.

Both sides of the Cross have zipped doors with large windows which can be fully opened to increase airflow or zip-in the optional Cross Air Annexe with integrated double sleeping compartment. The Weathershield 68D material provides protection for the elements but helps to keep weight and pack size small for stowing in the back of the camper.

Comfortable Living Space & Functional Design

With a 2.7 m width and connection height from 180 to 210 cm, the Kampa Cross Air Tailgater Drive-Away Awning adapts to a variety of campervan sizes. The front canopy adds outdoor shade and shelter, and the clear canopy profile ensures decent light in the living area. Furthermore, the included canopy pole, pegging kit and carry bag make the system complete and ready for the road.

Effortless Use & Travel-Friendly Features

Setup takes minutes thanks to the inflatable Air Frame and colour-coded webbing. The carry bag and manageable packed size keep transport and storage simple. Furthermore, being designed specifically for vehicle rear mounting means you can drive up, latch the straps and expand your space with minimal fuss.

We done plenty of research into what we wanted and decided to go with Cambridge campervans to source and build it to our custom spec.Which was so easy as because they’ve got plenty of custom they appear to have a production line nailed perfectly with straight forward choices for the customer , a top it took at least a whole day going through our choices of worktops etc . Rebecca was very clear and friendly from start to finish. And lovely she was human and not typical sales person .Having been away on many trips now and compared our conversion to others we all agreed Cambridge have got all including small details spot on !Aftercare I’m very impressed we had a small issue a year later and I was concerned we may have difficulties , yet Rebecca arranged this to be rectified straight away.I would recommend you guys to everyone- value for money, customer service , quality I’m very impressed and grateful for you making our dream come true🥰🤘love van life x

From my first contact with Mitch to the handover, the whole process has been smooth and professional with a generous dose of genuine enthusiasm for getting things right. From choosing the interior, (changing my mind several times) to going through the handover, the welcome has been warm. The team have a wealth of experience and the quality of the build is evident the minute you slide open the side door. The upholstery is stunning, the cabinetry quality is immediately apparent and the layout provides an impressive amount of storage. I felt in safe hands from beginning to end.
